The PCS timeline
From orders to your final inspection
Your housing office and your installation set the rules and the dates; they change, so ask them. This is where we fit in.
- 01
Step 1: Orders in hand
Send us the address and your report date. We pencil in the week and text a written quote within one business day.
Address and home size
Which day you must leave
Any extras your checklist names
- 02
Step 2: Notice to your housing office
They set the inspection date and tell you what the inspector looks at. Ask if there is a walk-through before the real one.
Get the inspection date
Get the written checklist
Text us a photo of it
- 03
Step 3: Pack-out
The movers empty the home. We can't start until they finish, so tell us the day as soon as you know, and again if it slips.
Movers' last day
Who holds the keys
Moving the clean: no charge up to 24 hours before
- 04
Step 4: Base access
For on-post homes, we plan the gate with you, below. Off-post homes need nothing.
Decide who escorts the crew
Or ask for a crew pass
- 05
Step 5: Clean day
A crew of three or four, about four to seven hours. The lead texts when they leave and when the last room is done.
Walk-through with the checklist
Room by room, floors last
A text when we lock up
- 06
Step 6: Inspection and the 48 hours
You meet the inspector. If a cleaning item from our checklist is listed, text us the list within 48 hours and we come back.
The guarantee termsRedo by the end of the next business day
No charge for items on our checklist
Base access
Getting a crew through the gate
Rules differ by installation and change over time. Ask your housing office which of these applies to your home, and tell us when you book.
On post: you escort us
You or an adult in your household drives in with the crew and stays through the gate check.
On post: a crew pass
Your housing office arranges a pass. We give the office the crew's names and details directly.
Off post
Rented or owned, no gate to plan. We need a key or a lockbox, and the date.
Questions
Questions about timing
Do I need to be home?
No. You can meet the crew lead for the handover, leave a key with a neighbor or the housing office, or use a lockbox. Tell us which when you book. For on-post homes we also need to plan the gate; see the PCS timeline.
How do you get onto the post?
Rules differ by installation and change. Usually either you escort the crew through the gate, or your housing office arranges a pass. Ask your housing office which applies to your home and tell us when you book.
Can I move or cancel the clean?
Yes. Move or cancel up to 24 hours before at no charge. Inside 24 hours, a fee of up to half the quote may apply, because we've held the crew. If pack-out slips, tell us as soon as you know.
Orders in hand?
Tell us your dates.
Send what you have, even if the inspection date isn't set yet. We'll pencil in the week.
